Dr. Rick Coker, a cosmetic dentist in Tyler, Texas, has attended dental education for many years and realized that he learned the most when the meetings were small and centered on one or two topics. He was able to get to know the speakers and the other attendees which made for lasting mentorships and friendships.
Therefore, he decided that he would develop some of those types of meetings. He would find a topic he was interested in learning about, find the expert in that field to teach it, and then invite some of his favorite dental friends to join him. Next, he recruited his wife, Melinda, to help him manage the details.
